Orchestra of St. Luke’s
Discover what makes New York City’s storied Orchestra of St. Luke’s (OSL) a staple of every Carnegie Hall season. Raphaël Pichon conducts a program anchored in the works of Beethoven, including his Ninth Symphony and selections that showcase featured vocalists. Andrew Manze conducts Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4, featuring acclaimed Beethoven interpreter Paul Lewis, as well as Haydn’s Symphony No. 47 in G Major and John Adams’s Fearful Symmetries, which Adams wrote for the OSL. Louis Langrée leads an all-American concert of Ellington, Ives, Bernstein, and Gershwin, featuring jazz pianist Gerald Clayton. Masaaki Suzuki conducts a program of masterpieces by Mozart, Beethoven, and Felix Mendelssohn, joined by star violinist Midori.
